Bride-to-be 'obsessed' with the colour of her skin died after injecting banned tanning drug

Jenna Vickers in the UK died while tanning her skin and it was revealed that she had been taking drugs which contain pigments that turns the skin tanned. However, those drugs are banned in the UK, and only available in the USA and Europe. Her fiancé said that she had been as she could not get a tan unlike him. However, the inquest told that Miss Vicker's weight which led to an enlarged heart may also caused her death. This is because she would have died from heart attack due to obesity.

This article brought several issues and one of them is appearance. As a female student, I understand that girls, especially with fair skin want to tan their skins. However, people should not judge one by one's and appearance should not be the top concerns of women. Moreover, this article raised the dangers of obesity. I learned that obesity is a big problem as it leads to other serious problems such as heart failure. I hope that one day, people around the world are not obsessed about their outer beauty, but improve their inner beauty.
