Excessive sodium in 'Jjapaguri' which shook the ramyun market

It is revealed that 'Jjapaguri', a combination of 'Jjapaghetti' and 'Neoguri' contain excessive amount of sodium. 'Jjapaguri' has been one of the famous foods among Koreans after it was introduced in one of the reality shows. It contains 2,890mg of sodium while WHO(World Health Organization) recommends to intake about 2,000mg daily. Moreover, according to the statistics, average daily sodium intake of Koreans was 4,831mg in 2011.

While I was watching the reality show and heard of 'Jjapaguri', I really wanted to try it. However, since I now know that excessive sodium is present in it, I am afraid that it can be the cause of excessive sodium intake. I am pretty sure that lots and lots of Koreans may have tried 'Jjapaguri' themselves. Thus, it is a bad news to them, however, it is useful information at the same time. The fact that Korean's average sodium intake is more than twice the average shocked me, since I am a ramyun lover, so I will try to lower sodium intake from now on.
